EGM & 2008 AGM

On Sunday 13th April 2008 an EGM was held to consider a motion put forward by the Committee seeking authority for changes to the Club's Constitution. The changes, which were unanimously approved, will allow model clauses to be included in the  constitution which will enable the Club to more easily acquire charitable or Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) Status.

The Annual General Meeting was then held. The Chairman said that attendance at the meeting was encouraging and it was a good turn out.

The AGM agreed to raise annual fees to:-  Adult £105, Family £135, Junior £30 with joining fees remaining at £20 for the first two categories and £5 for juniors.

Maurice announced that he was not standing for re-election to the committee for personal reasons. The Chairman thanked him for his work over the previous few years.

The Chairman presented medals and certificates to the winners of the 2007 Club Championships.

The following officers and committee were elected to serve for the ensuing year;

It was explained that it had been agreed that the position of Club Captain would revert to its previous role of Competitions Secretary and Paul Sadler and Roy Delve would be sharing the duties of the post.

Paul announced the intention to try and provide an evening session for Junior members only. He stated this would probably be on Thursdays.

Committee Meetings

The committee meets at the beginning of every month. Members with issues they would like the committee to consider should speak with a committee member, who will raise it for them, or ask the Secretary or Chairman if they may attend a meeting to explain the issue themselves.

Affiliation

As from August 2008 the club has affiliated to the National Rifle Association (NRA) at Bisley as well as the NSRA. This was done because a significant number of members now shoot fullbore rifles. In addition It is hoped that this will help expediate the quarry range project. Look out for notice of a possible Bisley outing in the future.
